Novinect v2 is leaving the lab. Five travel agencies in Uganda are starting to use it in their daily work.

We chose to begin small on purpose. Five agencies is enough to see real patterns, and small enough that we can talk to every one of them and fix things quickly.

How we prepared

Getting a new tool into a busy agency is harder than building it. So before the first login, we focused on the first ten minutes:

  • A first-login checklist. The dashboard shows each agency what to set up first, step by step.
  • A guided tour. New users are walked through the workspace the first time they arrive.
  • Arabic or English from the start. The dashboard opens in the language the user is most likely to want, and can be switched at any time.
  • Honest "coming soon" screens. Pages that are not ready yet say so, instead of showing sample data.
  • Tighter security. Each agency only ever sees its own customers and leads, and logins are protected against repeated guessing.

What we will be watching

We are not measuring success by how many messages get sent. We want to know:

  • Do customers get a useful answer, quickly?
  • Does the agency team trust what Novinect says on their behalf?
  • When a person needs to step in, is the handover clean?
  • What do agencies still do by hand that Novinect should take off their plate?

A thank-you

Early users carry real risk. They give their time and their customer conversations to a product that is still being shaped. We are grateful to the agencies who said yes, and we will repay that trust by listening closely.
